Author Sean A. Wright

Sean A. Wright

Urban novels have become quite popular in the last few years. We had the opportunity to sit down with an author who's capitalized off of it immensely. With 2 well received novels released in 2 years, it's clear to see that Sean A. Wright is on the path to major success. Coming from Queens New York and now residing in Harrisburg PA, Sean has made it clear that the sky is the limit for his career. He's focused, very talented & he won't quit until his mark is left in the world of literature.

Ha Candy welcomes Author Sean A. Wright, he's definitely on the come up....

Ha Candy - What's up Sean, how are you?
Sean - I'm blessed. Thanks for having me.

Ha Candy - You've received a lot of attention for your first two novels (A Gangster's Melody and AGM2), how does it feel?
Sean - Awww man. It's an indescribable feeling. It's like I'm in a whole 'nother world right now. I was blessed as a new author to have both books hold down the #1 spot on amazon for 14 and 16 weeks respectively. At one time they battled with each other for the #1 and #2 spot. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Ha Candy - How long have you been writing?
Sean - Well I have been writing music since I was a kid, but the author thing just started in 2010.

Ha Candy - How long does it take you to actually complete a book?
Sean - It depends on my mood. If I can get in a zone and stay there I can get a project done in about 60 days.

Ha Candy - Who are some of your inspirations?
Sean - You know what? With the way things are going in the world right now, I'm inspired by anyone that is doing anything positive and pursuing their dreams.

Ha Candy - Are you working on anything new right now?
Sean - As a matter of fact I am. It's a relationship advice book for women called The 'MAN'ual. It's going to be great. It's time these women know all of the inside secrets about men and how to handle them proactively.

Ha Candy - Oh that's sounds interesting. Sounds like trouble too lol. Do you think guys will be mad at you for writing this?
Sean - Most definitely, but only the ones with something to hide. I just want these to women know that there are some good men left and how to find us.

Ha Candy - Our Boss Hasan (Ha Candy owner) says you're one of the funniest guys he knows. Have you ever thought about writing more of a comedic novel?
Sean - Actually I have, I just have not nailed down what I wanted it to be about just yet. However, I did find ways to add some funny scenes into my previous novels A Gangster's Melody and the sequel AGM2: A New York State of Mind.

Ha Candy - Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Sean - In heaven. The world is supposed to end on 12/21/12 aint it? Nah. I see me taking things to another level. I have my own publishing company Just Wright Publications. I want to become an elite fixture in the publication business and also branch out into the film industry.

Ha Candy - Since this is Ha Candy magazine we have to ask, what kind of woman do you like?
Sean - She has to have the very rare combination of beauty and brains. Usually you find one or the other, but you hardly ever find them both wrapped in the same piece of skin. I also like a woman who is goal oriented and driven. A nice body doesn't hurt, and she must also be able to handle my high sex drive.

Ha Candy - If you had to choose between having the "perfect" woman & writing the "perfect" novel, which would you pick? (& no, you can't have both! lol)
Sean - I would choose the perfect woman. Novels will come and go, and if need be I can edit them to make them perfect. But if I was ever blessed enough to have the perfect woman in my life I would choose her hands down.

Ha Candy - Do you have a release date yet for "The 'Man'ual"?
Sean - Yes. I was originally going to release it on Christmas Day 2012. But due to the overwhelming demand and anticipation we are tentatively scheduled for Black Friday.

Ha Candy - People say good actors & writers are just good liars, do you agree?
Sean - Awww you trying to get me jammed up, and because of that I can not confirm nor deny those allegations. No but seriously the answer is yes. In my opinion you have to be a good liar to come across believable in both professions.

Ha Candy - What do you like to do in your free time?
Sean - I love to network and yes I am a facebook junkie (facebook.com/authorseanwright). I don't really hang out too much, a good dvd and occasional X box is cool with me.

Ha Candy - Do you have any shout outs?
Sean - Yes I want to shout out all of my supporters who have contributed to my success thus far. I also want to shout out the beautiful women of Ha Candy Digital, especially the ones who did the shoot for this interview. My business partner Fred Lee and of course my man Hasan and the Ha Candy Digital family.

Ha Candy - Well I want to thank you for taking the time to sit down with us. We wish you nothing but success in the future
Sean - Anytime. Seriously anytime. Ya'll got wall to wall beauty walking around up in here. Do ya'll need like a janitor or something? Anything to keep me coming back everyday. Damn look at her. Is that the Ha Candy uniform? Man let me get the hell out of here.

Ha Candy - Tell the people where they can go get your previous work and future projects
Sean - You can find A Gangster's Melody and the sequel AGM2: A New York State of Mind on amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com and more than likely at your local books store if they don't carry it ask them to order it or just hit my facebook page for an autographed copy.
